Two for Tuesday

More film studies - this time from Touch of Evil. Actually, these are studies of someone else's studies to see how they simplified things. The other page consists of some quick character sketches.

What's black and white and red all over?

If you said newspaper, you're right. I was trying to transition that into the subject of my post, but to no avail - so much for being clever. In other news, the above drawings are film studies from Disney's One Hundred and One Dalmatians (from 1961, not the live action remake). For the most part, these are posted in the order I did them in.

As much as I love this film (and I will talk your ear off about it... literally), doing these studies made me appreciate this animated classic that much more: the drawings are just as beautiful still as they are moving!!! And look at those purr-ty silhouettes (hey, c'mon, I had to do it and yes, there is a cat in the film).

Expression Central

In honor of a certain someone who's been visiting my blog recently and who's been disappointed with the lack of updates, I present my first post of hopefully many. And Leon, you there buddy? I just missed the deadline in my comment to your comment, but have faith... more will be on the way.

The Simpsons Character Layout Test

This is The Simpsons Character Layout Test (and yes, all work copyright FOX and all that jazz) I started... well, the first half of it, anyways. In all fairness, I should have had it done and turned it into Film Roman many moons ago. But alas, I put it on the backburner and haven't touched it in a little over a year. When I was working on it, though, I had heaps of help from the AMAZING Chance Raspberry. If you don't know who he is, you should. He just finished his new website and I am personally inviting the world (that's you) to check it out here: http://www.hirechanceraspberry.com/. I am in the midst of figuring out my animation goals for the next couple months and this little guy may make the cut. If that happens, I will post the completed test. I repeat, I WILL POST THE COMPLETED TEST!

Devious Update

To the three people that read my blog (I'm referring to me, myself, and I), I have uploaded what I feel is my best/ most polished stuff (apart from my life drawings) onto my Deviant Art Page. But how, Tony? How do we find your Deviant Art Page? Well, funny you should ask. I have included a link on the right hand side of this site. Most of the work is old, but there are new pieces and I believe this will be where I will primarily post my new art. Still not satisfied? Alright, with Halloween being around the corner, here is something spooky to entice all you boys and ghouls to visit.

The Bee's Knees

This was a rough sketch design I did for a friend's business.

Girl Doodles

These took way too long.

No, I didn't do fanart of my own characters. I started to fix a couple things on some old drawings and ended up making new ones. These were both done about a year apart. I got this idea from Kiki's post about how you improve over time and all that jazz.

Life Drawing A Go Go!

Most of these beauties are from the past year. I apologize for the drawings in these pages that I've already posted (and for the lack of posts). All of these are more or less my best life drawings so far. More posts soon.
