These took way too long.

No, I didn't do fanart of my own characters. I started to fix a couple things on some old drawings and ended up making new ones. These were both done about a year apart. I got this idea from Kiki's post about how you improve over time and all that jazz.

Life Drawing A Go Go!

Most of these beauties are from the past year. I apologize for the drawings in these pages that I've already posted (and for the lack of posts). All of these are more or less my best life drawings so far. More posts soon.

Two more life drawings from the last couple of weeks. This post and the previous post were all long poses. As I am unsure if these drawings have the same weight as gesture drawings (in regards to animation), I would appreciate any feedback/ advice as to people's experience with putting long poses in an animation portfolio.

In response to the overwhelming requests for me to update (I'm talking to you Kiki), I figured I'd post my most recent life drawing.

The colors, Duke! THE COLORS!!!

Oil paintings and Illustrator stuff. These were all done as assignments for classes (and were all casualties of procrastination).

So... I finished two more pages. The backgrounds are from my thesis film. The thesis was completed this past May, but I'm slowly improving some parts that I felt needed work.

That good looking guy above is a magician from my character design class a couple years ago. Sadly, another victim cast to the island of misfit drawings (well, at least until I correct the turnaround).

Apart from the bunnies, all the other drawings were for t-shirt designs done for free (I mean, pro bono).

Some ideas for portfolio pages...

Well, after some deliberation- alright, alright, about a year- I've decided to actually use my blog. These are drawings (and one painting) that I had done awhile back, but there were some minor changes I wanted to make before posting them. Well, I scrapped that idea and I figured I'd show you my thinking process as well (hence, the notes to the side). Enjoy.

My Senior Thesis so far...

Hey hey you made it! Figured what better reason to start a blog than a senior film?! The more the merrier I say on this artistic journey!!!

So, to start things off, this is a pretty finalized animatic of my film along with some rough animation (and it will all be traditionally animated :). Enjoy!
